Dieser Leopard 2A4 war am 21. Mai 2016 beim Tag der offenen Tür der Melker Pioniere zu sehen und wirkte bei zwei dynamischen Vorführungen mit. Zur Simulation eines Schusses wurde ein Böller vorne ins Rohr gesteckt und fixiert. Interessant ist, dass die Markierungen weder über Einheit, noch Fahrzeugnummer Auskunft geben. Anhand der Embleme auf den Uniformen der Besatzung war dann wenigstens klar, dass sie zur zweiten Kompanie des Panzerbataillons 14/Wels gehören.
This Leopard 2A4 could be seen on the public day of the sapper battalion in Melk on May 21, 2016 where it participated in two dynamic performances. In order to simulate a shot, a firecracker has been sticked in the barrels muzzle. It’s interesting that the markings neither provide info about the unit nor the vehicle’s number. At least the emblems of the crew indicated that they belong to the 2.company of tank battalion 14 in Wels/Upper Austria.
